Monday meal ideas: School holiday food

Good morning friends! First ‘proper’ day of our school holidays (started with a 6am sleep in for me rather than my normal 5am alarm so I’ll take that) which means one thing: FOOD PREP. I will be making food all day for various children so I thought I would share some of my favourite recipes that will be sure to get a run. Think bulk bakes, quickly turned around and tasty (with even a few hidden veggies in there for you).

LEMONADE SCONES
SPINACH & CHEESE GOZLEME
PORK & CHORIZO SAUSAGE ROLLS
VEGETARIAN FRITTATA
CHICKEN QUESADILLAS
POTATO SCALLOPS
Ribs & Pasta

And of course for the baking treats!

Crumbly Jam slice
WILD APPLE CARAMEL CRUMBLE
BANANA BREAD
DATE LOAF
CHOCOLATE CAKE
CHOCOLATE PUDDINGS
PIKELETS
LEMON DELICIOUS PUDDING
LEMON SOUR CAKE
CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE
BAKED CHEESECAKE

or how about these lemons seeing as how I have so many?

LEMON MERINGUE PIE
LEMON SYRUP CAKE
LEMON DELICIOUS PUDDING
LEMON CURD
SOUR LEMON CAKE

And also very good!

CHEAT ARROWROOT COOKIES
NO FAIL PAVLOVA
HOT CINNAMON DONUT CAKE

How is your week ahead looking? We have a pretty quiet and slow one at home ahead, catching up with Mum tomorrow and the kids hoping the head to the beach with Rob mid week. We have my nephew’s 18th birthday on the  long weekend before heading to the farm to see Rob’s step mum. I love school holidays for the change of pace – it’s the best! Hope you all have a good week whatever it is you are up to. Take care x

  1. I made lemonade scones yesterday. I have also (in the past) substituted cream for coconut cream and lemonade for ginger beer and made them vegan? They turned out pretty well
