And now here we are in London, in the Spring

We arrived yesterday morning at 6.30am after a long 24 travels from Australia. It never fails to impress you that you can hurtle through the sky and end up on the other side of the world does it?

We were able to drop our bags off nice and early at our apartment in Notting Hill (one street away from where Lucy lived when she was here with Chris pre marriage and kids) before heading out to try and push away that awful jetlag that comes in waves.

The gates to Kensington Gardens and Palace are a stones throw from here too so it took me all of 4 minutes to hightail it down there and say hello to Kate & Wills etc.

The gardens were looking stunning, families playing and running about on a Sunday afternoon. It reminded me so much of the afternoon we shared with our own girls a few years ago. There’s nothing like the greenery of the UK parks. It’s like nothing else!

We then walked down Kensington High Street to take in the delights of Wholefoods, M&S and some of the superior merch that’s on show for the wedding this weekend.

Our neighbourhood is looking truly spectacular, London delights around every corner with spring blooms and colours everywhere. SO beautiful.

A quick stop in for a G&T before going back to our apartment and getting dressed and unpacked before a quick catch up with some of our mates before completely and entirely running out of steam and crashing at 8.30pm.

I was up way too early this morning, but with adventures to take in, I can sleep next week! More adventure for us again today…we’ve had a great walk this morning and will then tackle more sightseeing. Be prepared for more photos!
