Over the weekend the weather turned COLD. Freezing in fact, with the most ferocious and icy gale blowing for two days straight. It was the kind of weather you can’t wash in, walk in, do ANYTHING in except for sitting inside with the fire AND central heating on wearing all your warmest jumpers.
There was ONE thing you could do though…and that was make soup! And that I did on Saturday when I made a huge batch of chicken, veggie and pasta soup packed to the brim with veggies and piled high with parmesan. Its soup weather now so I will make sure there’s a pot on at the start of the week for all my weekly lunches. So many great options out there, thought you might like to try some of mine this week too.

How is your week ahead looking? This will be our last full week of home schooling, both little ones are back one day a week from next week (Monday they go) and then Daisy starts to transition to two days a week (of course they are not on the same week). I think Rob gets his moon boot off this week too (hopefully) it’s been a bugger of a thing for him over the past 6 weeks so fingers crossed that comes off. I will be busy running around as ever and enjoying some beautiful autumn days that look like we have ahead of us. And it’s Mum’s birthday this week too which we will be able to see thank goodness.
Hope you all have a great one x
Beth it is chilly up here in Bundy so I don’t know how cold it must be there. Brr! I’ve got another week at school with just some students coming (though some more have said they’re coming because we’re offering sport in the afternoon…). Next week my Year 11s will be back in class and if all goes well, the rest will be back 2 weeks later. I miss my classes. It has been very strange to teach through the computer but I’m glad things are getting better. I feel very lucky, really. Steak and salad for tea here tonight and mum has made a seafood stock so chowder and sourdough tomorrow. A delicious start to the week xx
Enjoy getting back into the classroom – my girls are little excited/nervous about the whole thing! x
