Monday meal ideas: Getting some seafood onto your table

Last week I cooked some salmon for our dinner. All 4 of us (Daisy can’t do seafood for whatever reason despite loving it when she was little) LOVED it and I wondered (again) why I don’t cook more of it during the week? I know it might have a little to do with budget and practice but I am going to try and get it on the table at least once a week. It’s too delicious and good for us not to right? And as they say – practice makes perfect so the more I do it, the better I will get at it.

Here are some recipes I do know that might get you started this week. Tasty, not tricky and SO tasty.

Salt & Pepper Squid
Chilli prawn linguine
One pot salmon roast
Smoked salmon pasta

And some more too…

TUNA, TOMATO & BASIL PASTA
MOROCCAN SPICED SALMON
TUNA, OLIVE, TOMATO & CAPER SPAGHETTI
TUNA WITH CHIMICHURRI & CHIPS
MUSSELS WITH HOME MADE CHIPS (MOULES FRITES)
SMOKED SALMON STACKS
WHOLE SALMON COOKED IN SALT

How’s your week ahead looking? I have a busy one (what’s new?!) with the added extra of a visit and overnight stay from Styling You tomorrow night, lots of deadlines for work, busy with the shop as everyone gets cracking on their Christmas shopping and of course end of year school stuff that is starting to come into play. It’s REALLY December this week you guys, DECEMBER. Sheesh. Let’s get on with it then shall we? x

Comments

  1. Would the younger kids eat a mild curry ? I do a red curry salmon ( which I got the inspiration from something Marion Grasby did). And it’s good for for stretching salmon to feed more people.

  2. Yes to more seafood on our menus! I’ve taken to going to Woolies on my lunch break and buying a handful of prawns ($2ish) and having it on my lunch salad. Delish! and much cheaper and nicer than junk food.

    • Such a great idea – I love doing that too when I am watching the weight. No calories and DELICIOUS in everything. All hail the mighty prawn!
