I noticed last week how much Lucy’s lemon trees are groaning with fruit on them. It calls for one thing! BAKING. Today I am going to grab my basket and get baking this week. It’s cold, Daisy has started school holidays and it just calls for cakes and comfort and goodness that comes in the form of lemon & sugar. And because it IS so cold, I love the comfort of baked apples in all forms in winter, so thought I would throw those recipes in too because I can!

How is your week ahead looking? We are all limping to the end of term 2 with week 10 ahead of us…my goodness am I looking forward to the school holidays. A change of pace! A time to take a breath and relax a little, read, watch movies…what a shit of a term it’s been. Next weekend we are hosting a special 40th Christmas in July dinner too so there will be a little prep for that ahead of us too.
