It definitely feels like winter around these parts at the moment….dreary, wet, cold weather which means the fire has been on for weeks and weeks non stop and the gas bottle for the central heating is being filled up quicker than I’d like….it’s an expensive time of year! One way to keep extra warm I find is to feed the family big, warm meals for lunch and dinner if possible…having something hearty and filling warms us up from the inside out.
Here are some of my favourites that will get a run this week as we dig deep to the end of a verrrrrry long term.
Baked Camembert
Lasagne
Oven Baked risotto
Roasted pumpkin soup
How is your week ahead looking. It’s cold and everyone here is very tired…! daisy has broken up for the term but Maggie and Harper have until the end of this week. So we are all digging deep for the last of our sporting & school requirements. I CANNOT WAIT for a break from it all…no early starts and time to read and chill with the kids. School holidays are my faves…bring it on!
If you are like us, dig deep, and if you are lucky enough to already be away..enjoy!
