Our sweet Valentine turned 11 on Wednesday, a simple celebration filled with all the things that she wanted: some new things for her grown up bedroom (she gave her room a little makeover after Christmas) and so asked for new bedlinen and odds and ends…including some succulents from her Grandma (much to Mum’s delight!)
There were some cakes at School for all her friends (last time I have to do this for her)…
And then dinner at the pub last night with a big group of mates. Kids running around everywhere…it was perfect and just what the birthday girl wanted.
This 11 business seems quite a shift. Perhaps it’s the new plates ready for braces, perhaps it’s the start of tween and teenage years that suddenly feel so close now, there’s no sign of little girl anymore….just this sweet, kind kid who is ready to take on the world.
I think I’m going to like 11.
Happy Birthday sweet Daisy x
They grow up so fast….that cake looks fabulous and her smile says it all…happy birthday to your girl x
Thanks Robyn
Such a lovely way to celebrate a birthday. That Rainbow light is fabulous! Just wondering where it’s from? Thanks
It was a gift from her Aunty & Uncle and cousins…it’s SUNNYLIFE. Should be able to find one online.
What a sweetie! I have only just added your blog to my bloglovin and I’m so glad I did. Love seeing little snippets of people’s lives. Thanks for sharing!
Oh thanks Karli 🙂
Job well done beth!
… and heading in the right direction!
Much love mxx
She sure is…much on her own too!
Congratulations – proper double digits! My 10 is turning 11 next week too. We sat and talked tonight about that in another 10 years we will be ready to celebrate her 21st! Makes me giddy. A magnificent milestone to be celebrated by all – for I had no idea what I could possibly be in for 11 years ago. Infact I was the perfect parent before I had children!!!
Enjoy the milestone Beth & co x
Weren’t we all!
