We can pretend all we like, but Christmas is coming. This time next month we will be but days away. I’m not OK with it, but I will embrace it. On the 1st December ONLY. I have very strict Christmas decorating rules and you will not see a wreath, tree or string of anything tinsely UNTIL the 1st December. But after that? Oh I am GOOD TO GO. Tree will be up (real of course), wreaths will be on every door (of which we have plenty) bunting a go-go, advent calendar, nativity scene and the odd silver bird placed here and there. Nothing says Christmas like a silver bird now does it?
While I have a bit of a collection of stuff that is VERY haphazard each year I like to pick up the odd thing to add to it. Whether it’s a new decoration for the tree, or a little something to place festively on a table there’s plenty of cheap and nasty stuff out there…but if you look hard you can find the occasional bit of FAB.
And what do you know? I found some!
Lark
They have their very own dedicated Christmas Shop filled with seriously stylish and cool stuff. You can find those geometric decos above, that gorgeous little gold house and the Noel stencil which would look perfect on our front french doors. Check out their stuff here.
Target
While the selection online isn’t great, I wouldn’t say no to this silver reindeer. Especially if you were on a little silver/gold theme. Check out their stuff here.
Down that Little Lane
Beware you can get caught in here for some time. Search for Christmas in here and you will find some cool and interesting and STYLISH Christmas decos like that bunting advent calendar. You can check out their stuff here.
David Jones
I know plenty of you guys are Santa photo families. We, are not such a family. But there are some nice finds on the DJ’s Christmas shop like those disco sequins baubles. When it comes to colour and me and Christmas, more is MORE! And I would like these. You can check out their stuff here.
Country Road
We are a Santa SACK kind of family, as opposed to a santa stocking and I like the look of these cute coloured ones from Country Road which are a break from the traditional colours – I LOVE them! You can check out their stuff here.
Witchery
Who knew they even did Christmas decos? Not me! Spotted these in store this very morning and loved these wreaths that also came in heart shapes. Adorable! You can check out their stuff here.
Pottery Barn
Those Yankees love a bit of ye olde worlde charm and Pottery Barn does not disappoint with some of its retro goodness. Why not embrace a little retro Christmas in the shape of a cushion? WHY NOT! You can check out their stuff here.
I have also long been a devotee of Bed, Bath & Table for good Christmas deco’s too. Can’t seem to find anything online though – so you may have to go in store for some of the cheap Morgan & Finch goodness.
So do you have Christmas deco’s up already or will you wait until December?
Got any places to add to the list…always on the look out for something different so tell me!
check out this little beauty, and I have heard its about to go on SALE ….http://www.tableking.com.au/products/Swishmas-Santa%27s-Mail-box.html#.Uo14EuIf98Q
Goodness me!
eep! I love all of these!
Yesterday Miss 6 and I made stamped salt dough decorations like these, except.. Christmassy-like ones 🙂
Never been into the crafty stuff really but it wasn’t even messy! No paint. Winning!
We’re beaching it up this Christmas at the beautiful Noosa Northshore so will be taking these along to put on a little mini tree for the table. Cuuute.
ADORABLE! I got my Mum some precious ones I hope she likes – maybe next year I can MAKE THEM?!!
Do it! 🙂 I feel all accomplished crafty mum now. haha.
I’m wanting a bit of marley and lockyer this year! ( https://www.etsy.com/listing/168686601/ceramic-joy-snowflake-tag?ref=shop_home_active ) Apparently love, loans and linen which is just up the road stock them, so got to get myself up there. And I might just have to adopt this little deer from little paper lane too http://littlepaperlane.com.au/store/kitch-o-check-deer/dp/1788
Yes! Great suggestions…don’t know how I forgot them!
Marley & Lockyer and Have you met Miss Jones are on my list this year. Picked up bargain Swarovski at Nordstrom Rack and Costco on my recent US trip, had to buy an extra suitcase at Costco too…
How could I have forgotten Marley & Lockyer? Of course!
I have the CR santa sacks for my 3 kids and love them to bits.
I swing between traditional and modern Xmas decorations.
We are actually putting up the tree this weekend, because, the kids are just BESIDE themselves with excitement. We also put up fairy lights in the hedge in the front yard, lights in the trees, icicle lights hanging off the gutters and this year we have a 10ft Santa going on the lawn! Look out Clark Griswold!
Spotlight has some nice prints for table clothes, napkins etc.
David Jones have super nice things, although pretty exy for what they are.
I order my tree decorations from amazon and hallmark.com. We have some super awesome ones this year including a crazy coupe, box of crayons, Star Wars, Super Heroes etc.
I’d love to have a real tree, but I get hayfever and Abi has ezcema/allergies so we can’t have a real pine tree in the house which is a shame. The smell instantly transports me back to childhood.
Can’t wait to see everyone’s pics on IG over the next few days/weeks.
Hurry up Xmas!
xx
Not hurry up! I need all the time I can get! It just seems to be getting earlier and earlier…I am a stickler I tell you!
Lovely decorations I am a bit like you I am not ready but next month the tree will go up and the decos out just how I roll, but you have little ones for the magic to still be there and I love that!
It is a very special time – you’re right!
Have you checked out Myer the House & Garden range of decorations ?? They have a ‘Nordic’ collection, some really gorgeous stuff !
I haven’t – will be sure to thanks!
Lol – I’m a stickler for the 1st of Dec for decorations… But I found some really cute things on etsy including amazing personalised Santa sacks!
1 December is Go Time for our house…so this Sunday the wreath will go on the front door (silver sparkly number from Target), the medium sized tree (from a local homewares store) will go up on the floating shelf in the open plan dining/lounge (so the puppy can’t get to it) with its silver and blue decorations (also from Target) and the other random Christmas shit I’ve accumulated in the last month will also appear (from Woolworths and Bed Bath N Table).
I love the other Photos and descriptions too, of course,
and every theme looks great on this blog. I would like to share few more Pictures.
Regards Prince…
I have 3 words for you
