What a weekend!

So we did it. The weekend of the annual village ball and long weekend has come and gone again. It was a huge effort, and success with lots of planning and plenty of guests (we had 13 people stay here last night) but worth every single bit of work. I’m absolutely stuffed and as soon as the last bit of my work is done tomorrow I plan on sitting down on the couch for a few days and doing nothing. We all know that won’t happen, but I like to think there will be some moments of peace coming my way. Here are some snaps of the big night, as well as a few of the recovery lunch, which included more champagne, cutlets and cake. A perfect combination!

So glad it all went so well and looked so spectacular! We got to the fireworks after skipping two years due to new babies. We missed John’s beef rolls though. They were fantastic but nice to see him enjoying himself. I used to have visitors every June long weekend pre babies. I’m hoping for good drying weather for you tomorrow!

Wow, the room looks beautiful! And I love the flowers. And the food. I always feel a bit sad when these things are over..Hope you had fun x

    • BabyMacBlogBeth says

Oh thank you FF!! The flowers were all sourced (ie stolen) from people’s gardens and didn’t cost a cent! One of the School Mums helping me was a florist and SO clever. I am relieved it’s done now…but knowing me I’ll be a little sad and wondering what to do in a few days time x

  10. Looking gorgeous Beth. You must be exhausted xx

That last picture is the best. It’s super beautiful. I love it!

P.S I see Rob is still growing his hair….how you feeling about that?

    • BabyMacBlogBeth says

Thanks Reannon. What Rob does to his hair is completely his business…I have no say…just as he has no say when I go and get it shaved with my undercut! Either way he is a dirty big spunk rat x

That’s the best attitude to have! I must say, I’m a bit partial to a man with long hair & a beard…have been since I was a teenager. If he’s wearing boots, even better πŸ˜‰

  12. What a treat! It looks like everyone had such an amazing time.
