Do your very besto

I had SO much basil so thought it best I turn it into some pesto. I’ve shared my recipe before for it here.

I whack it into almost anything – pasta, omelette’s, salad, onto steak – nothing is spared.
Do you make your own pesto?
What have you got a lot of at the moment?

I’m also over at Dettol Mission for Health today talking about Hitting the Road over the School Holidays.

  1. I’m so proud of myself I just have to boast! Basil, tomatoes, eggplant, beans, snow peas, lettuce, radish, beetroot, rocket, bok choi, artichoke, corn, zuccini, cucumber, chillies, capsicum, raspberries, strawberries and will have figs soon if I can keep the birds away! Now I’d better go water so my boasting doesn’t cause a fall…

  2. Love a good pesto, I’m a big fan also.
We have a whole lot of peaches and nectarines at the moment. I have been making peach turnovers for dessert like it is nobodies business.

  3. I have a lot of weeds, mould and mildew at the moment.

But I’m optimistically hoping the mint will go mad soon.

    • Join the club. I dream of having an amazing, productive and pretty garden. I kid myself that it’s just the lack of time and that we lease our farm that stops it from happening…. But I think it may have more to do with a lack of commitment and having gangrenous green fingers. Jac

  4. Love basil. Have a glut of it too so did make pesto. Linked back to you also!

The rest of vegie patch is very very sad indeed though.
