So. Here’s the thing. I’m in LOVE with this town.
And I know earlier in the day I said that I wanted to Live in Brooklyn Heights. That was BEFORE I went to the upper west side. THIS is where I want to live.
One of the readers of BabyMac, let’s call her Trish, cause that’s her name, invited us to her house for an evening drink. She lives here. BAM!
This was the view from her apartment. BAM!
We had some champagne. And looked out her windows. This. Was their view.
We drank some french. Ate some fancy pizza. And some fancy tarts with very large raspberries on top.
Rob, so THIS is where we should live.
Look at those roomy sidewalks!
And this? This is where JOHN LENNON was shot. His fancy apartment building.
We ventured downtown for some tapas and wine.
And the best thing I’ve read in some time. See that man there? He is a GRANDPA. At 51! The youngest and hottest Grandpa I’ve ever met. 51! Congrats to his daughter and their 7 day old baby who was ADORABLE.
We watched the 100 relay live and I couldn’t have been happier that France won. FRANCE! Those American’s can be so preppy and annoying…
When I went to New York I stayed in the Upper West Side … it is LOOOOOOVELY.
I want to live there tooooooo!!!
its so cool to read yours and Mrs Woog’s NYC stories. Its very obvious that you are having a ball. Which is so wicked!
Nothing beats a fancy tart!
SO true Claire! :0
You. Are. Killing. Me… Wouldn’t mind betting that Rob’s turning grey rapidly! Never thought I would want to do the states again, you are making me think never say never. Thanks for the ride.
That one fancy pants apartment!
I lived on 71st and Columbus but my apartment definitely did not look like that!
I am glad that you and Mrs. Woog are getting the show pony tour of NYC!
Oh yes, I agree.
New York had me at Hello….BUT the Upper West Side stole my heart! Gorgeous! Would love love love to live there….one day? who knows?!

Beth your photos are unbelievable. I’m dying of jealousy! That looks like an amazing place to live. Oh, and my Grandpa was a Grandpa at 36 when I was born (yes, you read that right). x
OMG! Are they gladioli…like Dame Edna loves? It’s all too gorgeous.
Omg Beth you are not helping the fact that I really really really want to go to New York!
Wow if you keep up these gorgeous posts I’m just going to have to go jump on a plane I think. Love your shots.
Divine. Simply divine.
Oh god. What was I thinking? I missed a step before I had children!
Me too Twitchy, and reading the New York posts is the first time I’ve ever had such regret about it!
That’s what I keep thinking! I SO wish that Rob and I had come here when we were young and carefree and SOMEHOW managed to live here.
Another fabulous post lady! How unbelievably beautiful is that home?! Just like in the movies. What a great night out xo
Love New York, just LOVE it!
Such an amazing place! I love it!
Oh gosh these pictures, they are making me feel something truly awful in the pits of my stomach….jealousy I think?!
New York just gets under your skin, someone should write a song about it. Oh they have?
