Earlier this week I had the pure JOY of dropping kids to school on Monday morning and then hopping in the car and picking up Miss Rabbit and Mrs Munro and hitting the road down the mountain (and up another one) to spend 2 nights in the gorgeous area of Berry. This was kind of a last minute thing that we wanted to try and get sorted this term (how fast has this one gone?!) a chance to catch our breaths, chill and do some crafting (for them, not me).
2 nights is NEVER enough when it comes to these kind go trips – especially when you can’t check in till after 3pm but we escaped to the most gorgeous place I found on AirBnb Milkwood Barn in Broughton Vale which is just 5 mins outside of Berry. When we arrived we were blown away as it felt like we had escaped to somewhere much further away…was it Japan? Or north America near Connecticut or was it somewhere Scandi? In any case it was glorious and as the rain event happened around us – no better place to be locked in with plenty of wine and food.
This place was a dream come true for us as we literally sat by the fire, ate, drank, slept and chatted…oh there endless uninterrupted chats that Mums never get to finish. So so good!
I ventured out one day to head to Kiama and there was a little shopping done as well in Berry but mostly time to chill out. Wednesday morning I had to head back early for work but I just feel so happy and lucky that we got to enjoy this gorgeous place. You can book it on Airbnb here…tell them I sent you!
Note: We paid full freight for this place just wanted to share the details on here as so Manu people asked about it. Sharing is caring you guys!
Anyone got a girl’s trip planned soon?
What a lovely mini break. You find the best accommodation – a true super skill – and you always generously share. How good is that. I still remember a beautiful apartment you stayed at in London (or Paris) years ago with French doors and gauzy curtains. It was delightful. You’ve had quite the week full of lovely trips and celebrations. Go you x
Thanks for noticing Maria! I love finding great accomodation!
