Monday Meal Ideas: Bring a plate!

If there’s ever a time to Bring a plate along, it’s this time of year. There’s Christmas catch up’s, drinks, end of school functions, lunches, dinners to go to…and you may be asked to bring a plate along with you. Here are some of my favourites that I thought might give you some inspiration…

3 Bruschetta Toppings
Chilli Tuna dip topped with dukkah
5 Vegetarian Canape options (pictured are goats cheese and thyme filo tarts)
Deconstructed Pumpkin Salad (perfect antipasto board)

How was your weekend? Hope you all had a festive one. We had a good mixture of chores, socialising and down time ready to tackle a big week of school stuff. Tonight we have the year 6 end of year graduation dinner (being a small school we all go along and there will be LOTS of tears from my big girl) then end of school assembly on Wednesday with visiting Grandparents…plus work…then family Christmas on the weekend. It’s going to be a big one!

Hope you all have a great week friends…dig deep…we are almost there!

  2. Susan, Mum to Molly says

My mother arrived in this country in 1971 with VERY little English. The first time she was asked to bring a plate to a neighbourhood event she did just that… but she thought they might be short of cutlery, so she brought a knife and fork too. 😀
