Hitting the road: your help needed!

After the huge success of my last two events I want to try and take the show on the road and bring it somewhere closer to you. Yes, you!

But that’s where I need some help. You see, you being a BabyMac reader already have exceptional taste and will have your finger on the pulse of where’s cool and perhaps where my next event could be held. I’d love to hear some suggestions if you can think of anywhere either locally (even in your small regional town) or in your big city.

I’d love to find somewhere in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth as well as regional areas in all the states. When I held them down here in The Highlands I had a great space that was cosy and intimate, had a kitchen and was interesting so I’m kind of looking for that same kind of vibe.

Perhaps even you have your own business that might be able to host them? Could be a restaurant, a bar, a warehouse a paddock…all suggestions gratefully received.

So over to you guys…tell me ALL THE PLACES! Go on!

Amber Ridge in Edenhope (Victoria) it’s an old farm house done up. They have their own veggie garden which they sell the produce out of, they have the most amazing jams and preserves for sale as well. And to top it all off everything they sell in the cafe/restaurant is either grown by them or sourced from within 100km. It’s amazing and so charming! Oh and they also have their own garden nursery on site too! ❤️

  33. Michelle Jenkin says

    Here’s the website http://www.amberridgeapsley.com.au
They also to paddock to plate nights once a month, and pizzas done in an old tank converted into a wood fire pizza oven. ?

  34. Hey Beth I know Tassie wasn’t on your list but we in Hobart would welcome you with open arms. This little island has foodie delights galore.

I could just see you doing your thing at the kitchen bench at the Agarian Kitchen about 20mins out of Hobart. This old school house oozes charm & warmth & the produce from the garden would have you totally beside yourself! Your love of a crackling fire would be catered for with one in the kitchen & one in the dining room. We’d ensure there was a g&t or three on offer & at every turn your next Instagram shot is waiting for you. So much to love about the place.

We do a fab farmers market here, not to mention our cheese, wine, salmon, berries, pink eye potatoes, apples, whisky, oysters, cherries, scallop pies, cider, butter!! and on it goes…

How we would love to have you Tassie

  37. Tasmania – home of the tree change! Tamar Valley where we are. I’ve just landed my first ‘uses my brain’ job post-little-kids, on the organising committee for a Farmgate Festival in Nov. So many agricultural family boutique providers of amazing food here!
Truffles, vineyards, pork, dairy, berries, organic veg, cider, olive oil and hazelnuts, cheese, honey to name but a few.
There are vineyards I know that have kitchen facilities and a few great intimate rustic spaces I can think of. It’s truly amazing round here, beautiful and a foodie haven!
All foodies reading please check out the website and get over to Tassie for the weekend and then come again when Beth comes – please come Beth!!
