On Tuesday afternoon we headed down to our friend’s (Mr & Mrs Munro) new farm for a quick drink to celebrate Mr Munro’s birthday. It was a gorgeous afternoon, the sun shining, kids happy to play, feed the horses, pick some flowers and of course make endless daisy chains.
We ate some pickled cucumbers, drank some Prosecco and toasted our good friend on being such an old bastard. Times like these, these golden spring afternoons where you can feel summer on its way, well they are just about the best kind of Tuesday afternoons you can have.
Feels a bit more like summer than spring now though doesn’t it?
When was the last time you made a daisy chain?
Eleanor has become obsessed with picking all the daisies in our lawn to give to mummy. It’s just about the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She waddles over with chubby fists full of them, a lot of grass in there too, the very best collection she has carefully curated. She sniffs flowers with GUSTO – so enthusiastically they sometimes disappear up her little bunny nose!
Adorable!

It’s so therapeutic to make them isn’t it?
Just beautiful Beth ????????
Thanks Lorelle x
If those daisies were poppies (I think from memory) that field would look like the scene from A Room with a View in Italy. & if they are Black Cockatoos in your photos, I think they sound like prehistoric dinosaurs.
They (the black cockies) always mean the weather is on the turn round here – always in groups of 3’s too!
Gorgeous! That afternoon light is something very special. x
The BEST!
Your kids are beautiful!
Thanks Jess 🙂
