Got any citrus trees at your place? We have one lone orange tree that did nothing for years and then for the past year or so has produced fruit, but nothing very good. This year the tree is heaving, and as soon as we get a little more colour on them I am hoping for a bumper season. Don’t you love the patience required sometimes in the garden? One thing there are lots of at the moment, are lemons. I love cooking with lemons – I will whack lemon zest into just about anything and everything – and of course baking with them.

How’s your week ahead looking? We are limping to the finish line with still one week of school to go (give us all STRENGTH) but then have 2 weeks off. I can’t wait for a change of pace that’s for sure – term 2 is a long and exhausting one I reckon. If you are on holidays, enjoy them, if you are lucky enough to be somewhere its warm, soak it up, if you need us, we’ll be here in zero degree mornings going to school!

We did lemon drizzle here today! Sadly no lemon tree here, but a school mum had a bag full on Friday and I stocked up. So bloody good!
