We arrived in Split yesterday afternoon to perfect sunshine and warmth. We were met down at the ferry wharf by all of my sister in laws family – a perfect welcome to this beautiful small area of the island of Korcula. We’re in Prigradica where my sister in law’s family live. We’re staying in the house next door to them for the next few weeks while people arrive from all over the world over the next week to celebrate my brother and brother in law’s 40th.
This morning was what appears to be what we will be doing a lot of. Swimming. Hanging out on the boat. Laying in the sunshine. Exploring. And feeling very much like we are on holidays.
Rinse. Repeat.
After lunch the kids all watched a movie and had a rest, now it’s afternoon tea, time to get the fire on for dinner and a walk down to the wharf to meet my Mum and Step Dad who will be arriving.
Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow.
Ah Korcula. I spent a very fun week camping on that island in 1999. It was a bit of heaven on earth.
Oh man, hello perfection!
Whisk me away now!
so it’s like 8 degrees here…but with windchill its hovering on zero.
*sigh*
Beth……….wind chill today minus 1.5! But my heart is warmed by your beautiful pics xxx
Ohhh I love Croatia. I spent about 6 weeks there when I was living in London. Keep the photos coming! I am remembering those white pebbles and clear water … as I sip my tea in freezing Sydney!
