Yesterday was full and wonderful. All the days have been this week. A trip to the beach. A drive along the beautiful Macleay River to South West Rocks where the road follows the bends of water along huge old frangipani and Moreton bay fig trees. There are road side stalls to grab fresh veggies as you go, old towns standing as they once did with faded and peeling paint and ice-cold schooners in their pubs. A visit to a neighbours farm to feed baby goats. Veggie gardens filled to the brim with summer goodness. A simple new year dinner with family. An early(ish) night.
Holidays really are the best.
Are you having a good one?
Oh! And happy new year to you!
