Slow Saturday

When it’s all of about 5 degrees outside and it looks like this, there is only one thing to do. Well, several really.

: Eat cake

: Drink champagne

: Play boardgames

: Light candles

: Eat snacks

: Sit and read on the couch

: Sit in front of the fire

: Make and eat home made pizza

: Snuggle, cuddle and watch TV

: Sleep in, then get up and eat pancakes

I am happy to report that it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday…

  2. I miss this kind of weather! Living in Qld and near it’s brilliant beaches where it is sunny 99.9% of the bloody time absolutely forces me to go outside and be cheery. Would much rather an inside day with a book, next to the fire. If only it wasnt 27 damn degrees with clear skies. Must buy myself more kaftans! Love your work xo

  3. You are the best cook, ever.

  4. Well, I <3 your Saturday!

  5. That photo of little Harper drinking her bottle while laying on you?

  12. Sounds like the perfect day!

Our Sunday here has been spent outdoors (it’s warm in Melbourne – yay!)

We’ve been planting summer vegetables, weeding, cleaning out the cubby/sandpit, playing with the kids, and an outdoor picnic.

    Bliss!

    xx

  13. I LOVE OPERATION!

  14. Looks like the perfect day! Those little green birds are cute!

  15. Is it just me or does Champagne taste better when you drink it in your trakkies? I believe it does. 🙂

  18. Perfect Saturday, I say!

I ate way too much cake this weekend. I really should stop baking them. One day…

  19. Bliss………

  20. The birds, the champagne, the chair.! No wonder you stay inside. Sometimes it’s a relief to veg in with grey weather and not feel obligated to be outside doing active fun Mum duty. Did you have guests or just two glasses of champagne each at a time?

  21. Well that looks just beautiful! Even with the rain I still want to move in. I see a glass there with my name on it…

Photo with your baby drinking her bottle is just wonderful. xo

  24. Gorgeous snaps lady! You sure know how to make a dreary Saturday look inviting :o)
They still have Operation? Giddyup for that ;o)
Looks like your sis is getting plenty of Mama practice there, beautiful!

  25. Sounds devine – we’re just entering Autumn and I love the whole thought of snuggling and spending a day just like this x
