Easter Feast(er)

We have not stopped eating.

The dishwasher has been on approximately 7649 times and my pants no longer fit. Any of them. The table has been set, and stacked away time after time, and let’s not mention the amount of wine and Prosecco that has been consumed since Thursday night OR the actual chocolate eggs. Hot cross buns. Cakes. Biscuits. Cheeses. Smoke trout. Chips. In between all those meals. But that’s what it’s all about, right?! Oink Oink.

Here is the menu (and some snaps when I remembered to take them) of what we have eaten.

Thursday night: Chilli prawn linguine with preserved fruits & ice cream
Friday lunch: Prawns and salad
Friday night: Salmon en Croute with roasted potatoes
Saturday night: Roasted pork belly with caramelised apples, mash & beans
Sunday lunch: Standing beef rob roast with roasted potatoes, Bearnaise & green salad

I think the next few days will be leftovers and then once the last of the guests have left, we will be eating rice cakes and water.

  1. I’m sorry but I’m going to have to stop following you

Your perfect life with your perfect house and your perfect food makes me sick…and jealous as hell!

Me thinks rice cakes and water may be a very good idea.

An yes, I am being sarcastic – love your work.

  2. Glad you are having such a wonderful Easter weekend…it sounds a bit like a repeat of my thoughts after Christmas! I was actually pleased to see the end of too much food and it was nice to see a catalogue today without chocolate or eggs on sale.
