Updated 2.00pm: back from a morning out and about including a trip to the doctor. Upon which we discovered that Harper DOES have a perforated ear drum and I have a case of sinusitis that needs not 1 but 2 rounds of antibiotics. So in between getting rid of the vast amount of green snot from me, I now get to deal with ear goo! And yes, that means that 3 out of the 4 of us are on antibiotics. As I wrote on FB I couldn’t make this shit up if I tried.

And boy am I glad to see it. Hope we don’t see another one like it for a long time. If ever.
Firstly, thank you ALL so much for all your support and comments and (virtual) and real friendship that you offered me over the past day or so. I never knew that my post would have such an impact, have such resonance with people. I am not one to reply to comments within comments, I much prefer an email reply (if I have your email address to do so), so while I got most of you, some were missed, and certainly still appreciated. The calls I got, the emails, the Facebook messages. Goodness me. Thanks again. So much. More than you will ever know. To feel as supported as I do by my decisions makes me certain that they are indeed the right ones. So thanks. That’s right I said that already, but you know…thanks.
This weekend we have not a lot planned which is just about perfect. This morning I do have to head to the doctor to get my sinus sorted once and for all and also get them to look at Harper’s ear which has started to ooze goo which (I think) means she has a perforated ear drum. I KNOW! I have a list of things on the fridge that need to get done around the house – courtyard clean up, new letterbox purchased and installed, new shelf put together and up, weeding & gardening, painter quotes, washing, a 4th birthday party, some food shopping and cooking, definitely some drinking (I haven’t had a drink since Sunday night) and (hopefully) some sleep. For all of us.
See this owl here? We spotted him when we were up at the farm a few weeks ago having his (or her but I think it looks like a he) daytime sleep. Amazing hey?
I hope YOU have a fabulous weekend.
Hooray for the weekend! And hooray for Tawny Frogmouths – I love their lil faces.
Have a fabulous weekend xx
Have a tremendous weekend! It looks like you’ve got the beginnings of a great one.
Mine will involve – movies, sushi & sausage sizzles! Oh, and sleep! There’s been far too little of that for my liking lately. xx
Have a great weekend hun.
We are heading to the beach house today for some R+R.
xx
