2, 3, 4 ….working 9 to 5 what a way to make a livin’…
So….I finally got some work! Hurrah! Yay! Fab! And all that. I managed to get a 1 month contract with a company I worked with almost 6 years (!) ago now for the month of March as a PA to a big wig fabulous corporate woman. And it’s 9 to 5 (and some) 5, that’s right 5 days per week for 4 weeks. Now, I haven’t worked 5 days a week in just over 2 years now so it’s going to be a bit of a shock of the system. As well as heading into the city for work, in a big corporation. The emails, the meetings, the acronyms, it’s all going to be a bit of an adjustment. But I am really looking forward to using my brain again, and not to mention actually getting a DEPOSIT into my bank account! And catching up with some old friends for ladies lunches – it’s going to be great fun. I went into the office this morning for a ‘handover’ meeting and went through the million things I have to do on a daily basis (I just kept nodding and smiling whilst listening to her current assistant whilst thinking to myself…I have no idea what you just said…just keep smiling and nodding. And so I did.) and I start full time Monday. Once my foot is in the door it may just lead to something else. Maybe. Hopefully once they are dazzled by my brilliance. But boy am I going to miss my afternoon sleeps. And I can’t even think about only spending 2 days per week with Daisy. But mostly just Yay and about freaking time!
