Daisy woke early this morning for something and went back to sleep. I on the other hand was wide awake at 3.30am in the morning. I couldn’t get back to sleep and then I sat upright and remembered what was happening just there and then – the inauguration. I woke up Rob and asked if he wanted to witness it as well, and he did. So there we were, in bed, awake and at 4.03am (our time) we watched history in the making.
I was so pumped for the change, the hope, the anticipation of what could and may be but mostly for the fact that Daisy and all our children will just think that what is so extraordinary in our lifetimes is ordinary. Acceptable. And that’s what makes me want to High Five America this morning. Thank you! And thank god your people had the sense to make the changes. And good luck Obama…somehow I think you are going to need it.
