A couple of spring chickens

Hurrah! Spring has sprung! Not sure that there is a nicer time of the year? I woke this morning with a little extra spring in my step…the sun seemed to be up earlier, the morning seemed a little brighter, I even got to pick some freesia’s on my way to work so I have THE (definitive) smell of spring right here on my desk. I am excited about the change of season, the longer days and warmer weather. It has been one of the coldest winters I can remember so I am thrilled that we can shed some layers, not dress Daisy in so many clothes and even not wear shoes soon enough. I love that all of a sudden we are on the countdown to summer, holidays and Christmas. We have SO much to look forward to in the next few months…a family holidays with Rob’s brother’s family and Dad and partner to Lord Howe Island in October and then of course (of COURSE) Paris at the end of the year. It’s going to be a good summer and an even better summer (with a dash of winter thrown in for a few weeks at least).

Here are some snaps taken a week or so ago just before we headed away. I looked after Maddie for a few hours and as I was trying to pack my for the trip I had to look for easy ways to entertain a couple of under 2 year olds.

Read laundry basket (pretend boat) ….

And my trusty old Play School on TV…

Don’t judge me…I know not the best mothering/care giver work!
