In light of all this sadness with Lachie my sister Sarah suggested that I send out an email to everyone I knew asking them to donate money towards SIDS research. It also co-incidentally happens to be SIDS awareness week this week so the timing was perfect.
I was amazed at the response that we got. I managed to raise $2,460 from all my friends and family – people that don’t know Angus and Jules but felt compelled to help them in some way. Here is the link to the online donation in case you felt the need.
I am indeed lucky to have people in my life that all have stopped to think about someone else and their pain and offer their support. If the money raised helps in the research and prevents just one death then I think we have done a good job.
