It’s been a big day for the Macdonald girls – it was Daisy’s first day at daycare. I tell you if it wasn’t for the fact that I had to pack up the house I would have crawled into a hole and wept all day. Given the packing I only wept for about an hour. It felt like I left my heart over in the daycare centre in Alexandria and I was just running on empty. When I went and picked her up and saw those big juicy eyes from crying it was enough to break my heart AGAIN. It’s too much!
I hope tomorrow and the next week and the weeks after that get easier. At least day 1 if officially over. I did gets lots of packing done though which is a good thing. I just can’t believe that my 6 months is now up. How did that happen?
I think Mumma needs a stiff drink – is it too early for a wine at 4.30?
Beautiful Beth… please try not to let the sadness of leaving Daisy at nursery get you down. I promise you that she will make lots of little friends and learn something new every day. I also cried my eyes out when I had to leave Maddie for the first couple of weeks, but I suspect that this milestone is the first of many that will have us in tears! If only we could keep our little girls wrapped in our arms for ever! Take care, stay positive, and focus on making your lovely new house a home. Lots of love, Kate xx PS: It is never to early for wine.
