5 months

Daisy hit 5 months on the weekend if you can believe that. She is getting bigger by the minute, the second even. Each time I go into her cot to pick her up she feels heavier, seems more aware, and seems fatter. She is just delicious – the fat rolls are growing by the day! Here are some snaps taken from the weekend where I got to have a rare cuddle with the little lady. We actually both had a little snooze on the couch in the arvo – it was lovely to be able to cuddle Daise while she was still – I know there won’t be many chances like this in the future as she gets more mobile and especially when she gets older and definitely doesn’t want to have anything to do with me!

She is now well and truly onto the bottles and is eating like a champion. She loves to have her pears and rice cereal for breakfast and this last week we have started having some dinner as well. She is not so keen on veggies, and has only managed to eat sweet potato so far – she has turned her nose up at Broccoli and pumpkin but we will try them again soon.

We went away on the weekend up to Pearl Beach with Alan and Fauxma Sue and of course Dad and Angela (Nana and Pa). We all had a lovely time but poor Robbie was recovering from his eye surgery that he had last last week. He is on the mend now though which is good news. Daise was not so sure about the eye patch that he had to wear.

We are off to QLD this weekend for a work conference for me which should be ok. It’s going to be hard to have to switch between Mother and work Beth but with Rob there and Daise almost fully weaned it should be ok. I am looking forward to being away somewhere new and hopefully a bit warmer.

The next couple of weeks are going to be pretty crazy – we are settling on the new house on the 3rd August so I have lots of packing ahead of me. Sarah and the kids are also up from Melbourne and Jo and her kids are off to Croatia – it’s all happening! In the meantime I will keep enjoying our beautiful little girl who fills me with so much happiness and joy every day. I can’t believe how lucky we are to have such a lovely little (chubby) lady x
