I had my (well Reg has his/her) baby shower yesterday afternoon at Mum’s place. It was a lovely afternoon, lots of yummy food and champagne, tea and cakes! Reg was totally spoiled by everyone – we got SOOOOOO much stuff. I can’t wait to get it all home and unpack in the nursery. We are just the luckiest parents in the world to have all these friends who have been so generous. Check out the cake that my aunty made – it’s a stack of nappies! Just divine…
We are on the countdown to Christmas which is exciting. I have a nasty week of work to get through – we are moving offices – so it will be exhausting. Looking forward to Friday afternoon and being on holidays for 2 weeks! I can’t wait to dir back and relax and do nothing at all.
Other good news is that I got my licence last week – only 12 years too late! It’s a relief to have that out of the way and know that Reg and I will be mobile by ourselves. It’s a great achievement for me.
Happy Christmas to all – hope you have a great one. We are going to enjoy our last quiet one for some time I think. Here is a picture of our first family Christmas tree – love the smell of real pine in the house it reminds us both of when we were little. How is it that we are going to be parents in 8 weeks time? I also added a picture of Reg at 32 weeks…
Hello Gorgeous Beth,
Just catching up on all your news and photos. You look a million dollars! Pregnancy really suits you. I am so thrilled that everyone spoiled you at your baby shower. You Robbie and little Reg deserve all the gifts and happiness in the world!
I am so excited that Reg will be making an entrance in a matter of weeks. You and Rob are going to be the most spectacular parents. Don’t be nervous about the birth. Just remember that our bodies were made to have babies and that it is the most natural thing in the world. I know Rob will give you loads of love and support and that you will be amazed by what a mind blowing experience it is. The first few weeks are a bit of a shock to the system, but I promise that each day gets easier and more fun and rewarding. Little Maddie is now smiling and chatting to us in baby language. We are both completely besotted by her.
Thank you so much for your beautiful gifts. I promise I will send a thank you card soon… I have been so bloody slack.
Take care lovely lady and we are thinking of you and sending you loads of love.
Here’s to a wonderful baby filled 2007.
All our love,
Kate, Simes and little Maddie xxx
