A little wander through Montescudaio

This morning we had a very quiet morning in the villa – catching up on some much needed time in pj’s, drawing, playing, drinking coffee and reading. We’ve got our portable speaker and Spotify (there’s no TV in the villa and we have not missed it one bit in the 2 weeks we’ve been away) and the pace has well and truly slowed down.

For those interested this villa is rented again through Air BnB you can find the link here. There is a company that rents a series of villas and apartments all with the best style that specialise renting places for kids called Tuscany Forever and you can see that here.

After our slow morning we ventured up to the nearest town to us – Montescudaio which really is in the middle of nowhere. These towns are SO pretty and so not touristy – they are the real Tuscany. This village had a Church with the best view all the way out to sea, a little bakery, a butcher with the most handsome old Italian man who I tried very badly to converse with, a bar where we sat and had a coffee and tiny little narrow cobblestoned streets with houses with pots outside their doors, washing hanging from their windows, cats sitting in the sunshine.

Just so gorgeous. Man, this part of the world is pretty.

The scenery is certainly heavenly, picturesque; however what really caught my eye in this post…was Miss Maggie in her Ferrari red stroller – Bellisimsa!
Does she zoom along those cobblestoned paths? đŸ˜‰

  7. I’ve just caught up on all of your last 5-6? posts since you’ve been away, as I’ve been soooo busy with end of school stuff and visitors. I saw all your amazing posts coming up on facebook and just couldn’t wait to sit down and read!!!!
It’s been like reading an amazing story, so beautiful and exciting and full of family and love. I am loving everything!!!!! I just cannot imagine how good it must be to be living right there, in the moment. Just gorgeous. Living the dream.

  8. Hi! I’d love to know how the girls are enjoying the walking around the towns, scenery etc. I usually get lots of whinging on walks we do but then again they haven’t been in Italy!

    • Whinging is still there I’m afraid…especially from Harps who really doesn’t enjoy all the walking. But bribery goes a long way – let’s walk for 20 mins then have a juice. Another hour and then lunch then a little longer and gelato etc…

      • Thanks Beth! I’m sure it’s worth it, your pictures are incredible. I’m booking it in mentally for fours years away ha ha
