Problogger ticket giveaway winner

blog_about_it

Man you guys gave me a tough job with all those comments and I wish I could have given away many more, but alas I had to pick just one. And that lucky one was…ROXANNE! This was her winning entry. I love her humour and the idea of being a fairy godmother. I also love her business and blog that helps out young Mums and making them feel positive. Sounds like she is the fairy Godmother to me!

Hi Beth,

Thanks so much for such a generous offer. I’d LOVE to win the prize. Some nonsensical and totally related reasons why:

I’ve never been to Problogger before but would love to experience it. I’ve been eye spying along in the forum to feel a part of the event without the financial means to do anything about it. Wishfully hoping someone will come along like Oprah and say “you get a ticket! And you get a ticket! Everybody gets a ticket!” This is the next best thing.

I’m not afraid to have no accommodation sorted just yet because I know I will find it. I lived and travelled in a caravan with my two kids and hubby for four months and we never had much of a plan on where to stay. Just the wide open road (and we always found somewhere beautiful to park whilst tactfully avoiding park rangers).

I’m in my Jupiter cycle according to Astrology. It’s totally a thing apparently and meant to be very lucky. So far this year I’ve won a poncho and a free business sign. I’m going for the trifecta.

I believe in fairy Godmothers.

The reason I love blogging? Helping to inject some inspiration, love and joy into someone’s day. I run a support blog for young mothers in their teens to early 20s to encourage them to make their life as positive as possible despite the challenges of early parenting. I also work as a youth mentor with the Raise Foundation to help vulnerable young mothers in our community. I’d love to learn how to improve my blog work so I can help more young mothers who need it.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter 🙂 x

So congrats Roxanne and thanks to everyone that entered. Like Roxanne said I wish I could have been like Oprah…YOU get a ticket! You get a ticket! YOU ALL GET A TICKET! Good luck with your blogging adventures, maybe next year you will get to Problogger and we can have a chat together because I’ll be there too. And for the rest of this year? Let’s just live vivaciously through social media.

Thanks guys, and congrats Roxanne. Do me proud! Oh, and shoot me an email ([email protected]) so we can get the ticket transferred in your name ASAP.

  1. Oh my goodness! Thank you SO much Beth! I just squealed with giddiness for about 10 minutes and the kids came running in asking what was going on. I told them I won a ticket to a blogging event that I really wanted to go to and bless their hearts, they have no idea what a blog even is but jumped up and down on the bed and squealed along with me!

None of the special adults in my life have answered their phones yet to hear my good news (slightly anti-climatic) but I can’t wait to tell them later 🙂 This definitely beats the poncho and the business sign!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have absolutely made my day. I will have one extra of everything in your honour (this goes for canapes…drinks…dances, etc) and one extra BIG smile the whole time. Looking forward to giving you a real life hug one day!

    Thank you Fairy Blogmother.
    E-mailing you now 🙂

    • Congratulations Roxanne! I was totally bummed that it wasn’t me and then I read your winning entry AND your reply and ohhh man….I had a stingy feeling in my nose! It happens when something tugs on my heartstrings hehe. Can just see you and your kidlets jumping up and down and them not having a clue why! Lol. It made me smile. I am off now to check out your blog but I already know I’ll be impressed. And then I’ll check out what God-damn astrology sign I am in! ‘Cause is aint Jupiter! Ha!
All the best for Problogger! You deserve it x

      • Ohh thank you Shauna! And hahaha, I lol’ed, damn astrology when it doesn’t work for us! 😉 (But I am a big believer when it does of course! How fickle!)

I just checked out your blog too, love it and will definitely stay in touch with you through the blogging world! 🙂
