A great day in Noosa

I woke this morning at 5am with my mind racing thinking about everything going on back home. To do lists, the fact that we are going away NEXT WEEK, the fact that Mrs Woog was snoring quite loudly next to me. I thought it best to just get up and get on with the day. Send some emails, and hit the beach for a walk around the headland before the day began. I watched the sun rise before heading into a group yoga session on the beach before getting ready for our breakfast …not sure where or what that would entail. We walked back down towards the beach…to THIS.

The most magnificent display of Noosaness you could see. A perfect breakfast, a perfect view, perfect music playing, and very good company indeed.

After breakfast it was a morning of conference stuff (which required no photos of excellence) before we headed off to a wonderful cooking school session celebrating the best food that Noosa has to offer. Strawberry muffins, myrtle leaf tea, some prawns, local haloumi, an heirloom tomato salad, blistered padron peppers, and a tropical tarte tatin. We smashed the lot before heading off to, oh you know, dinner.

We then headed out to watch the sunset over the river and eat some more seafood. After that it was a wee cocktail before heading back to bed to a very big soft pant, a big glass of water and Australian Story. I am in desperate need of an activia yoghurt for my VERY full guts. Noosa, you did real good today. Amazing in fact.

  12. Well gosh, my first thought on reading that was HALOUMI!!! Oh how I love haloumi! But seriously, after that, it was about how awesome it looks to be part of such an amazing group of people. I can only imagine the wonderful conversations and food and laughs that would have been had.
