Morning

The weather has been hot and muggy and unusually warm for this time of year. Even though the days are getting shorter and the mornings dark it still feels too warm. Late yesterday afternoon the mists rolled in, literally blowing in fast and strong. One minute we had clear, still and warm air and then fast, white, thick and cool the next. I’m not sure anyone that lives here still doesn’t think of the mist as something magic – especially when you see it roll in.

This morning it’s cool(er) and dark. It’s wet out and the mist is lingering. My very favourite kind of morning to have at home. It calls for coffee and dressing gowns. A little lazing and not rushing anywhere. Shame we have to get going for School (it’s cross country today) and then a trip to Sydney.

But you know what? For some of you it’s the start of the holidays tomorrow. We still have another week ahead of us here, but the end is in sight. Everyone is tired and in need of some time to be just be. And chocolate of course. I hope you have a great weekend – I am off to a workshop tomorrow that I am REALLY excited about. I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Have a great Friday friends.

  1. What lovely pictures! I love days like this, as long as they only happen one at a time–not three or four in a row! Or, as in happened in Michigan, US, one spring–a whole month! Here in Florida, when that happens we sit out on the covered porch (lanai) reading and surfing the net. enjoy your upcoming weekend 🙂

  2. God I love your blog Beth, and your way of capturing the beautiful stuff around you. That is all. Except, thank you.

Thank YOU Annette – that is a lovely thing to say. I’m so glad you enjoy it. Hard not to enjoy things around these parts. Have a great weekend 🙂

Lovely post Beth, lovely photos. I am getting excited about putting my Doona back on the bed, might just have to do some redecorating while I am about it. Snugly pj’s, curling up under a quilt or throw, and I live in Queensland. It was 31 here yesterday, I might have to wait a while.

  5. I am loving the change in weather.. so fresh x

  6. You really do take magic photos, Beth. You also have the ability to make me stop, breathe and feel calm in amongst the chaos of a busy work day. Thank you. x
