Around the grounds

Gosh I’ve had a lovely, normal, quiet day at home.

Daphne is starting to bud.
Wood basket is full.
Bulbs popping up everywhere.
Camellias in full bloom.
Left over wreaths from the ball hanging around and drying out.
Fire hasn’t been off in days.
Pansies are smiling away.
So much spinach and rhubarb on the bench to cook.

The sun is shining.
The bills have been paid.
Desk cleaned and piles of paper sorted.
Washing dried and folded. Verandahs swept.

Yes, it’s been a lovely day. Hope you’ve had one too!

I Must say my Daphne isn’t looking great this year…leaves are turning yellow. I ADORE the stuff and have three huge bushes. Hope they don’t die on me!

  3. What a lovely post! My favourite times are Saturday afternoons. I’ve cleaned the house, the laundry is underway and I’ve got something burbling for dinner already. Bliss.
