Saturday in the city

Yesterday we hot footed it nice and early up the highway to Sydney for a special day in the city with my Mum and my sister in law and niece who came up for Melbourne. Mum, myself and the girls were off to see Charlie & Lola’s play while the others went to see the last of their Ballet subscription for the year. My girls were beside themselves – a bus trip into the city, our first trip into the Opera House and a sparkling summers day with the harbour and surrounds looking extra fabulous.

After the show (which was fab) we went and had lunch. And strawberry sundaes. And Prosecco (for Mum and I) before heading back home on the bus.

There was a lazy afternoon of garden watering.

A little gin and tonic drinking.

And lots of cuddles and Christmas stories.

It really was a special day.
