Magshop Christmas Competition

A sponsored post for Magshop

I will admit to a magazine problem. The problem is all mine. Fed by me. Maintained by me. And LOVED by me. I am subscribed to about 5 different ones (2 of which were Christmas presents given to me last year by my family), and Rob to about 2 or 3. There’s something to be said for something arriving in the mail box, addressed to you each month, that’s not a bill, that can be just for me and my cup of tea or glass of wine. I have a ritual. I go to the letterbox. Squeal in delight. Unwrap it and leave it on the bench taunting me until the kids are asleep, then it’s me. The magazine. The couch. And I’m a happy woman. And to have that happen every month? Why that’s a gift! That keeps on giving!

With Christmas time fast approaching, it’s time to start working out presents and my go-to present for people (and for when people ask what I want) that I don’t have to think about too but I know will be loved? A magazine subscription of course! Grabbing one is so easy- it can be done on the couch, on your laptop, in the comfort of your PJ’s with wine in hand while still watching TV (I am an expert at one handed typing and I know my credit card number off by heart). That’s my kind of Christmas shopping!

Top of my mag list this Christmas? Belle. A stalwart of the Australian design magazine landscape for over 30 years and 6 issues for just $39.95. Bang! Filled with seriously stylish and amazing homes and gardens, new interior and exterior trends, architecture and design focus and some food and entertaining as well, it’s always been a favourite and I’m just about due for another year of its fabulousness. In fact, back in the day, I even dabbled in some food styling with Belle – working as a kitchen hand for the incomparable Consuelo Guinness during her shoots for Belle in the late nineties!

Just in case you needed another reason to grab a new subscription then look no further than this AMAZING competition that Magshop are running this Christmas!

Just by subscribing or renewing your subscription to some fabulous titles like for yourself or a friend, you’ll go in the draw to win an amazing Airstream 762 “International Series” travel trailer AND a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo worth a total of more than $185,000(!!!!). This trailer is seriously cool – it contains a bedroom, kitchen, shower, toilet, sofa and dining area and sleeps up to 5 people. It’s a LONG way from some of the vans you see the grey nomad’s in up and down the Pacific Highway. If I was going to go camping…THIS is the kind of camping I would do! You can even use your interior skills honed from Inside Out to use in the pimping out of your Silver Airstream. The Jeep is quite the show pony too – a 3.0l Diesel auto including all your on road costs.

So, in the next few weeks when someone asks what you’d like for Christmas, or if you need to work out a gift for a tricky sister in law or brother, send them over to Magshop and they or you could win this amazing prize!

Now, I’m off to start my Christmas shopping starting with Belle…I can see Bev right at home in the silver bullet serving cocktails outside in some glamorous outdoor setting…

  1. I am hoping Santa places Real Living under the tree for me this year and I just snapped up Grazia for my SIL this year – ridiculously cheap for some trashy gossip catch up!

  2. It is a great gift. I like how each of you remarkables have a different take on the same sponsored post. Good job.

  3. I had a job in a newsagency back in the day when I was at highschool, I took a lower pay in exchange for taking home the magazines that were out of date. Started my addiction, ah magazines… hmm glossy paper, pretty pictures.

  4. Bev very much deserves a vintage aluminium trailer. How gorgeous would that be?

  5. You know I’ve come to consider you a friend, but that jeep and van are MINE!

    Thanks for the tip!

    Love,
    Gabs x
