Normal transmission to resume shortly. In the meantime…

Mr Baby Mac here. Quick update on the patient. Surgery went well. She is now a streamlined version of her former self with one less organ. She’s a little sore but that’s to be expected and is helped no doubt by the tremendous support all of you have shown her over the past few days. I’d like to say thank you to you all on my behalf – it has freed me up from any normal husdandly obligations of gushing sympathy to allow me to fulfil the most important role a husband can in such situations – namely hourly exhortations for her to ‘man up ladybug’. For that I am truly thankful.

As I am sure you can understand, posts may not be as fast flowing in the next few days. I for one will be interested to see if there is a tonal shift post surgery. I have a long held, if not widely shared, theory that creativity stems from the gall bladder. So this will be the real-life test I have previously been unable to get government funding for. I await the results eagerly.

While you are all waiting with me, I give you the FINAL episode of series one of Over The Back Fence. If you haven’t finished the previous 9, here’s your chance as the ladies will be taking a break for a few weeks to try to store up some more banal to share…

This week, Beth and Neighbour talk late night libraries, the pitfalls of work from home dads (that’s me ya’ll – I’m FAMOUS!), a veritable plethora of etiquette questions and end the series, in time-honoured fashion, with the mother of all cliffhangers!
