Saturday setting

Much in the same way I will take photos of my washing on the line just because it beings me joy, I will take pictures of a table set for a dinner soiree in the late afternoon sun. Because why wouldn’t you?

We had a few friends over for dinner last night which was lovely. We ate cheese my the fire, I cooked a simple dinner, we sat and talked and talked and talked and then we drank tea out of my new tea cups. This morning my head tells me I should have had a little more tea, less wine.

This morning the weather is cold, miserable and dreary – perfect for a hangover this morning and some friends for lunch later on. I see bubbling shanks, sitting by the fire and chances are some more wine in my immediate future. Best get another pot of tea on…Happy Sunday!

I have a hangover that would kill a dog. Thank you for lovely dinner and forcing your doulton finery upon me, your hospitality was wondrous. Time for another lie down I believe….CM

  7. Lovely lovely table setting. Especially the candlesticks and the flowers – camelias?

  8. Just gorgeous lady. Sounds like a fab dinner party. If only wine didn’t have that effect the next day, seems a tad unfair xo

  10. You’re incredible. I inhabit an entirely different world. I’ve lived in my house for 25 years, but still nothing matches, except the glasses I’ve collected from wine and food festivals at Rutherglen, N.E. Victoria. LOL. Make myself laugh, if no one else!

    Cheers. Fraudster.
