Happenings

Yesterday

: Daisy had a very unfortunate accident with a stiletto, a fall, and a 1 in a million land
: We gave our local GP his strangest ever incident to check out
: I tried to put together an IKEA expedit bookcase without the screws or Allen key
: Needless to say it didn’t work
: I bought a new plant for the back door that makes me happy
: I did 2 loads of washing
: I opened a bottle of French champagne to celebrate/commiserate with my husband
: I got my period when I *thought* I could be duffed
: I realised that was why I was a screaming banshee on Monday
: Surprised myself that I was disappointed. Huh
: I took a block of mozzarella from the neighbours as I didn’t want to drive to the shops
: Was reminded that everyone really does need good neighbours. We have them in spades

This Morning

: I went for a run and had my fastest ever time
: I stood on the scales and am just 100 grams away from losing a total of 5 KILOS
: Felt great. Seriously proud of myself.
: Walked into town with my two girls stopping to chat along the way
: Felt a part of the community. It feels good
: Dropped my biggest girl at Primary School for a whole day orientation
: Cried as she tried on the uniform and hat
: Cried as all the kids stood in line at assembly and sang the National Anthem
: Watched my littlest at the park able to swing “all by mahself”
: Smugly sat back as my kid swung herself
: Pondered how kids really do grow up so quickly

Tonight

: I am up in Sydney at Nudiversity catching up with Mrs Woogs and Eden
: I will drink too many glasses of wine
: I won’t have to put any children to bed
: I will go to sleep and not be woken up

Tomorrow

: I will be up early, driving home
: Will no doubt have a hangover
: It’s FLIPPING DECEMBER! How?

  1. Dooooo it! have a baby!

    I might join you πŸ™‚

  2. Im allready joining in on the baby phase… so lets all start ‘breeding’ together… you can catch up…. easily!

  3. So looking forward to a wine or 7 with you this evening and perhaps a kebab in the wee hours x

  4. Im so getting me a baby in one years time. And everytime I get my period I’m disappointed coz I’d love it to be an accident. Also. I can not believe that stiletto accident. Kerazy. Enjoy Syders! *s*

  5. oh I was going to go tonight, but I have a baby who needs my boobs and likes to cry for an hour or six in the evening. Please have a wine or 650 for me. xx

  6. Yay for you, nearly 5kgs. Great stuff. And enjoy your night x

  7. I have been pondering the kids growing up thing lately too. It’s bittersweet.

    See you tonight!

  8. Nudiversity sounds like naked university… I’m sure it’s actually something to do with Diversity but I like it better the other way πŸ™‚

  9. Stilettos – a handy weapon to have when in danger. Poor cherub!

  10. I wish I lived in Australia with you and Mrs Woog and wine.

  11. Packing my bags STAT as to indulge in loads of wine with you fabulous Aussie ladies (plural cause I love me some Corinne). You guys have much more fun Down Under!

  12. I’m not sure what happened with the stiletto but it sounds painful. Poor thing πŸ™

I can’t believe you went running when you had your period! I always use my period as an excuse to do absolutely nothing.

I’m going to nudiveristy tonight too! I’m so excited to actually meet you! Although I keep having overwhelming feelings that no one will know who I am..

  13. you have a very ‘eclectic’ assortment of things going on in your life right now πŸ™‚
think, if you had been pregnant, nudiversity with mrs woog and eden wouldn’t have been half as fun without the wine πŸ™‚
Well done on almost losing 5kgs! I so wish that was something I could claim right now. Are you still doing the no sugar thing? I have been without computer for a while, so just trying to catch up on things πŸ™‚

  14. 5kgs? WOO! Go girl.

And another baby in the making soon? Double woo!

    Have fun tonight. xx

  15. Oooh weeee is somebody clucky?!?! DO IT. You make such beautiful babies, surely another one would be a good idea, yes? xx

  16. I know it’s inappropriate – but i’m intrigued by Daisy’s fall. Poor love. I hope she supresses the memory.
Ah- the ‘period’ disappointment. I know it all too well. Too, too well. The cruel part of nature is that pre period symptoms are very bloody similar to ‘oh my god, I swear I think I’m pregnant’ symptoms.
Thanks for the set up Mother nature, you cow.
Oh – and thanks for waiting precisely 12 hours after I’ve bought and used the pregnancy test to ‘flow’ every time too.

On a less yep-I’m-not-damn-well-pregnant-either note, good neighbours are the bomb.

Nice work on the run (a P.B.!!) and the win on the scales.
Have the greatest night – at least you can enjoy your beverages now.
Silver lining to the single blue line.

  17. Hmm, the unwanted period, it’s a universal feeling lady. Hugs xo

  18. Mate wait to she starts doing shit at school and getting awards and stuff. I just walk in our school gates and start crying! The most embarrassing was this time 2 years ago when Billie was in kindy and i went down to pick her up and the whole school is doing a hand tunnel thing for the year 6 kids and OMG the crying! Imagine when my kid is actually IN year 6! πŸ™‚
