This week I’m grateful for…blogging

Oh hi there! Thanks for stopping by via Maxabella’s page I hope you’ll find yourselves comfortable while you’re here. It’s warm – the fire has been on for hours – because I know for some of you that aren’t used to the cold that it can be a bit of a shock when you get here. I got some fresh flowers in honour of your arrival and there’s plenty of champagne or wine in the fridge, tea or coffee or hot chocolate – so pour yourself a little something, come sit by the fire and tell me what you are grateful for this week.

This week I have been busily preparing for my 5 years of blogging anniversary which happens next week. Yep! 5 years. I still can’t quite believe that I am over here plugging away most days. I’m putting together a giveaway with stuff that I love and I’ve been overwhelmed by people’s generosity. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!

I also had a lovely real life visit with Bron earlier in the week. It is always such a joy to meet bloggers in person – it’s different to catching up with regular friends because you know exactly what they have been up to. You can ask about recent joys and struggles and talk about everything because they know all about it, all about you. You can squeal about new paintings, about cushions, about baked goods and they just get it. I’m so glad I got another chance to see Bron and I hope it’s not too long before we see each other again. Somehow I don’t think it will be.

It just so happens that I’ve had a whole lot of new visitors to my blog through Fat Mum Slim a few weeks ago, and then again on my post I did on the back of Mrs Woog’s birth stories and I guess through your visit today with Maxabella. I have received endless comments and emails of support and laughter, friendship and just the old “I so get where you are coming from”. Not a day goes by when I don’t thank my lucky stars I started blogging. The true friendships and support that I get from it has literally saved me from going completely bonkers whilst raising two small kids. Heck, I wouldn’t have even contemplated moving to the country if I didn’t have an online community that comes with me wherever I am.

So. This week, despite all I have to be grateful for – new paintings, my fabulous baking skills, a warm bed a {pretty fancy roof} over our heads a husband that loves me and healthy children, I am grateful for blogging.
