June Long Weekend

The last of our 9(!) guests left us this morning and I finally have a moment to myself to sit down and tell you all about it! My little sis and her husband arrived Friday night and the others on Saturday morning to celebrate a certain little lady turning 3 and the local town ball as well as Firework night up at the local pub last night. It was such a lovely weekend. The kids played well together, the adults got a chance to spend quality time together and frock up for the ball, we got to eat and drink and celebrate and then end it all with a bang (literally) in the freezing cold early evening air with the rest of the town. Perfect.

There was playing.

There was sitting around and chatting.

There were sleepovers all in the same room.

There were dress ups and meals around the new island table.

There was frocking up for the ball.

There was a Birthday girl in all her aqua glory.

There was a magnificent Birthday brunch (more details on what we ate to come).

There were tea parties.

And there was face painting (done very well by Rob).

There were quiet moments of people catching up.

And there was so. Much. Food.

A perfect June long weekend! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a couch and a TV and a fire to sit in front of and I plan on not moving until much, much later.
