SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!

See that sign there? It’s the one that has been out the front of our house for the past 4 weeks. See that sticker right there on that sign? Oh, that would be A SOLD STICKER ON THE SIGN OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE. See the date up there at the top of your screen? Why, yes it is Thursday. The Thursday before the auction that was meant to happen on Saturday morning. See that crazy woman jumping around with glee and happiness and sweet relief and mostly high on the fact that there are NO MORE OPEN HOUSES? That would be me.

That’s right, last night we accepted a pre auction offer, exchanged with our solicitors and sold our house. Wow. Let me soak that up for just a moment. Yep. Wow. It was THE dream scenario we were hoping for. A good price. Avoiding auction. Exchanging quickly. We are beyond thrilled and so excited that we can finally start to think and focus on our new life which is just about to begin. Can’t you see it now it’s so close?
Just one catch. One that I am not going to really think about until Monday at least, because a gal has gotta have a few days to be high on victory right? Um. *whispers* We have a 4 week settlement. Yes, you read that right. What’s that I hear you saying? “Didn’t they have like a 8 week settlement because they weren’t going to be moving to the country until the end of October? What ARE THEY DOING? Does that mean…?” Um. Yes, yes it does means that we have to pack up, move out of here at the end of Sept, then put everything into storage and move either into my Mum’s place, or somewhere, living out of suitcases for 4 weeks until we get to move again…into the new house. You can see why I’m not thinking about this logistically, or practically until Monday now right? Yes, I most definitely need to drink my way through the glory for at least 4 more days before I will deal with that fact okay? Plus, you never know, we might be able to bring forward settlement on the new place…you just never know.
So enough about that. Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Yay for the sale! Yay for the buyers! Yay for the no auction! Yay for us! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
