Some things I know, others that I don’t

Things I don’t know:
: What is wrong with Harper.
: When we can go home.
: How anyone can sleep in a hospital.
: How parents cope when their kids are really, properly sick.

Things I know:
: Hospital beds suck. Small, creaky, plastic mattress which means no sheets stay put. HATE that slipping sheet.
: That I am grateful that it’s not 1967 where I had to go home and leave my baby behind.
: Nurses rock. Keep them onside. Do NOT piss off the nurse.
: IV drips are the ULTIMATE toy for a 7 month old.
: Hospital cots will also break your heart with their sadness.
: Sick babies BREAK my heart. MY sick baby breaks it into AT LEAST quarters.
: Eczema is a right royal pain in the arse.
: I clean when I am stressed. I went home to ‘rest’ and instead did 2 loads of washing, made beds, swept and clean. I can control that you see.
: I miss home. My bed. My babies in THEIR beds. Rob.
: For an addict like me, access to the web via my phone keeps me sane and less weepy.
: Blogging via phone is tricky. See last point as exhibit A. Should read grown up so much since Harper was born. She has been a star!
: Baby hospital gowns are heartbreakingly cute.
: Harper working out how to say Mmmmmmuma for the first time is NOT good for my emotional state.
: Daisy has grown up SO
