Today we ventured out for a ladies lunch with my Mum and sister (sans children) to the wonderful Heide Museum for a beautiful lunch and a wander about the gallery and sculpture garden. The lunch in the cafe was sensational – I had a corn chowder with soft shell crab and a dessert that looked as beautiful as the artwork in the gardens.
After lunch we wandered through the exhibitions and gardens taking in some of the collections of John & Sunday Reed who supported & encouraged modern art – many artists who are now regarded as central figures in Australian modernism.
You can read more about the Museum here. I just ate the food. Enjoyed the company of my Mum and sister. Soaked in the autumn sunshine and delighted in the artworks and took some photos. It was a really good day.
